We believe in a "Privacy-First" approach. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data.
Camera Access: Atlas Book Scanner requires access to your device’s camera solely to identify books by scanning their covers, spines, back covers, or barcodes.
Local Processing: All image analysis and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) are performed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. We do not capture, upload, or store the contents of books, nor do we transmit any images or camera feeds to external servers.
To provide you with accurate book details (such as title, author, and publication date), the app uses the text or barcode identified from the physical book to query public databases (e.g., Google Books API).
Anonymized Requests: These search queries are sent without any user-identifiable information.
No Image Storage: We do not host or maintain a database of your scanned images on our servers.
Our app utilizes Google Play Services to ensure core app functionality. For more details on how Google handles data, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy.
Local Storage Only: Any book lists, scan history, or favorites you create are stored strictly on your local device storage.
User Control: You have full control over your data. You can delete your history at any time within the app or by uninstalling the application. Since we do not store your data on our servers, we cannot recover deleted information.
Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
